SWING and a MISS: Shoddy Forensics Causes Gateway Pundit to Embarrass Itself and Defame Marco Polo with Attempted Smear Tactics

An article eviscerating shoddy forensic analysis and reporting by The Gateway Pundit that targets and defames Garrett Ziegler and Marco Polo

What is The Gateway Pundit doing? Given that no person or group has unpacked the Biden Family Laptop with such precision, accuracy and granular detail than former Trump White House advisor Garrett Ziegler and his Marco Polo organization, why is it that TGP is just now beginning to give coverage to Marco Polo and why did TGP follow-up on that coverage in an egregious and embarrassing attempt to smear Marco Polo? What caused the embarrassment for TGP resulting in defamation against MP and Ziegler? It appears to be nothing more than shoddy forensics.

In apparent erroneous fashion, why would TGP attempt to discredit the entirety of Maro Polo’s authoritative and definitive report on the laptop as resting on a single timestamp in a single email? Is this all made worse if TGP got it wrong? Hell yes it is.

What’s really going on, here? Let me tell you. As a top-12 publication for conservative readers, The Gateway Pundit is actively engaged in smear tactics to marginalize Marco Polo and its laptop report in the eyes of conservative readers. Why? It’s because TGP appears to be an influenced operation subject to a degree of control by the intelligence community. Who is Larry Johnson? Once CIA, always CIA. That’s Larry Johnson and that’s The Gateway Pundit.

There is important contextual backdrop to this entire story that envelops The Gateway Pundit and it’s this: TGP’s latest article isn’t their first attempt to discredit Marco Polo, albeit indirectly by giving its coverage to Jack Maxey, who made remarkable claims not proved that would effectively dispatch the accurate report provided by Marco Polo. If Maxey claims that the Hunter Biden hard drive contains more data than what the shop owner verifies AND Maxey says he’s working with out-of-country IT specialists to recover something that doesn’t exist, it means:

1. Maxey appears to be augmenting the existing hard drive data with fabricated information

2. This in-part explains his pretext targeting and discrediting of Garrett Ziegler, Marco Polo and ToreSays

3. Maxey’s role is what I’m saying it is – to control the fallout and mitigate the resulting damage from something unavoidable: the report that will be released by the Marco Polo team

Here’s is today’s smear piece from The Gateway Pundit for your independent consumption: Why Is the Marco Polo Group Editing Documents Found on Hunter Biden’s Laptop?

In it, author and TGP founder Joe Hoft says this,

The Marco Polo Group is changing documents they claim to be from Hunter Biden’s laptop.  The documents might have originally been from the laptop, but the Marco Polo Group is editing them and now they are useless because they’ve been edited. […] The Marco Polo document cannot be used in a court of law because of this discrepancy alone.

That last line provides the answer for “why.” When you come to understand that the intelligence community routinely launders fraudulent intelligence through the mainstream media so that it can be circled back to, leveraged and cited as contextual backdrop to establish a false narrative on important matters, it’s easy to see what The Gateway Pundit is trying to accomplish here.

Here’s what TGP alleges: timestamp discrepancies found in exactly 1-hour increments relative to two different versions of the same email extracted from the laptop, which TGP claims to be the result of deliberate malfeasance on the part of Marco Polo. What routinely occurs in exactly 1-hour differences? Time zones, that’s what. This is critical so hold on to it as we’ll address that momentarily.

From TGP’s article, here are the emails to examine. The first is the alleged “smoking gun” to discredit Marco Polo cited by TGP and noting the 12:43 am timestamp:

Here’s the original version that The Gateway Pundit says is produced by Marco Polo noting the 9:43 pm timestamp: “TGP obtained a copy of Hunter’s email found on the web at the Marco Polo website as well and shared this in our article.  However, for some reason, the date on this email was changed to April 12, 2014 at 9:43 pm.”

Here is how the item appears in the report:

Understand this: Neither Ziegler nor anyone else at Marco Polo ever modified a single timestamp on the Marco Polo report or this email; either before or after TGP’s reporting and allegations. This is the substance of The Gateway Pundit’s shoddy forensic examination and defamation and it’s entirely explainable by a simple fact set that envelops the exact 1-hour timestamp difference increments indicative of time zone changes, as discussed above.

Here’s where The Gateway Pundit goes completely off the rails in its alignment with an agenda to attempt to smear Garrett Ziegler, Marco Polo and its authoritative and definitive report. We find the answer in a quote from Marco Polo founder Garrett Ziegler and where I have been in direct communication with him and his team all morning to get these details accurate.

The explanation is this: The email was originally created by Hunter Biden on a Macbook in an email file. Therefore, when the email is accessed to be printed or saved to PDF by a third party, the programming automatically adjusts the timestamp of the email from its authorship by Biden to the timezone of the third-party reader accessing it. That is a full stop explanation.

We’ll be putting out a statement from @marcopolousa shortly as I am driving (using shitty talk to text now). This is a time zone issue whereby depending on which time zone you’re in, the apple mail app will set to that when you “control + P” to print the email (for our exhibit in the Report). Ergo, nothing was falsified at all. This is bird-brained “forensics.” This is a total smear campaign that doesn’t focus on one issue of substance, of course. The email is still the same no matter which time zone you’re in when you open it. lol

These are the smear jobs I get — from BOTH the left and the “right.” Remind me again who also gets attacked from both sides?

That The Gateway Pundit got its forensic assessment wrong tells you everything you need to know. That The Gateway Pundit doubled-down on that egregiously errant forensic assessment to defame Garrett Ziegler and Marco Polo; and to marginalize Marco Polo’s report, is what is most important here.

It’s important because it evidences how The Gateway Pundit has an agenda where at worst, it’s not the truth; and at best, it’s only grains of the truth overlaid by lies. Underlying that agenda is an intelligence community operation to control conservative content and The Gateway Pundit’s own actions and history evidences its complicit in it.

The Gateway Pundit is functioning according to smear tactics and it’s clearly targeting the most accurate, factual, damaging, definitive and authoritative body of evidence standing to further unravel a Biden Administration that is being removed by the intelligence community [1 2 3 4 5]. Contextually, this makes the efforts of The Gateway Pundit appear to be pretext for the control of unavoidable circumstances to the extent the damages are being mitigated for the Biden family to reduce its culpability. In order to do that, the laptop must be put to rest since “Russian disinformation” alleged by the same intelligence community didn’t work the first time. In order to put the laptop to rest, Marco Polo and Garrett Ziegler must be put to rest.

Now you know why The Gateway Pundit smeared and defamed Garrett Ziegler and Marco Polo.

Perhaps the tables deserve to be turned and it should be that none of The Gateway Pundit’s work should ever be considered credible and reliable again. Turnabout is fair play and The Gateway Pundit just got turned on its head for abjectly bad and reckless forensics compounded by purposeful defamation.
