I just listened to Feargus Greenwood who wrote “180 degrees”. He said that all previous “empires” lasted 240-250 years. They fell because of the welfare state and migration. Sounds familiar. He believes America is at this time. Now, what?
The reason I had a difficult time remaining in the education system is because of the hive mind mentality. I always tried to teach to the needs of the students. They are always more important than the "curriculum." I miss helping others learn, but do not miss the mentality of that system.
"Few will fight Gilead after carefully weighing up the consequences – after all, the most likely outcome is failure and obliteration. What drives forward fights against an oppressive society is a rival vision – a vision of equality, liberty and justice, and a sense that these should be defended, whatever the consequences."
Sorry - really CAN'T buy into your TYPICALLY-sadistic, tacitly-JUDGMENTAL and intellectually-dishonest CRAP about ostensibly 'participation trophies'; life stations of all being, 'first-place' (in an EVOLVED society and economic model, which ours hasn't EVER been - BECAUSE of said monarchic creatures - NOBODY 'loses' existentially, to SUCH institutional NARCISSISTS) - kids take a LOT of grief between parents, other spectators - and they SHOULD be applauded FOR it (GOOD sportsmanship, you know?).....the 'Right's RESOLUTE lack of EMOTIONAL intelligence and empathetic impulses, is utterly DISGUSTING - and so VERY self-sabotaging.

Something to be said for saying it like it is.
Well said. Bravo!
Also, even Blackrock is rethinking the ESG program as a mistake for corporations. Hmmm.
