Shortly after the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I heard an interview with a woman who had recently retired from one of the defense/intelligence agencies (unfortunately I was driving on a long trip and can’t remember her name or the agency).
Normally I would have taken an interview like that with a grain of salt, but the thing that struck me was the seriousness and fear that she projected…..
she was warning the audience that she was part of a high level group who was war gaming/computer modeling the various possible scenarios between the US/NATO and Russia after the invasion and that every single one of the computer models/war games ended in nuclear war.
She sounded very serious and more than a little scared…..
